FBAR | File US Taxes From Abroad
The FBAR (Foreign Bank Account Report) is a form that Americans living abroad may be required to fill out if you have a foreign bank account (or any other financial accounts) established overseas. Whether you need to file an FBAR form or not depends on whether the amount of money held in these foreign accounts exceeded the FBAR threshold.
The FBAR is a purely informational form for US authorities and submitting the FBAR form won’t cause you to be taxed on your foreign bank accounts.
At MyExpatTaxes, our all-in-one software allows you to file the FBAR, and all the other forms required for your US Expat Tax return.
