Where do I report my Pension Growth in MyExpatTaxes?

If your income is below this amount, you do not need to report your pension investment growth. You can find the latest income thresholds directly referenced in the Pension section of your MyExpatTaxes profile.

Who This Applies To

  • US citizens or Green Card holders with foreign employer pension plans
  • Employees who are considered highly compensated, earning more than $155,000 in salary from a single employer for the 2024 tax year

How to Report Pension Growth in MyExpatTaxes

  1. Go to the Foreign and Other Income section in your MyExpatTaxes profile.
  2. Select Foreign Pensions (Contributions/Distributions) and Social Security.
  3. Once the Pension section appears, select the option “I earn more than $155,000 in salary from this company”.
  4. Enter your Pension Growth amount.
  5. Save and continue with the rest of your filing.
