Subscribers receive the lowest price available for our tax filing plans, compared to purchasing a plan each year individually, and will receive a reminder before any renewal charge is processed.

When Are Subscription Charges Processed?
Subscriptions renew in January each year.
The timeline is:
- January 7: A reminder email is sent before renewal
- January 10: The subscription charge is processed using the card on file
This gives you advance notice before your annual tax filing plan renews, so you can make any necessary changes.
What If I Need to Upgrade My Plan?
If your tax situation changes and you need a different plan, you can upgrade.
When upgrading:
- You will only pay the price difference between the two plans
For example:
- Base plan subscription: $140
- Reviewed plan subscription: $275
- Premium $540
If you upgrade from the Base plan to the Reviewed plan, you will be charged $135, the difference between the plans.
Can I Use Discount Codes With a Subscription?
Subscription pricing is designed to offer strong value, so additional discount codes or vouchers cannot be applied to subscription plans.
This helps ensure subscription clients receive the lowest, most consistent pricing annually.
How Do Credits Work With Subscriptions?
If you have account credits (such as referral credits), they may be applied to additional services or add-ons, such as:
- Additional tax forms
- MyExpatPlanning
Credits cannot be applied to the subscription plan itself.
How Are Price Changes Handled?
If subscription prices change in the future, we will notify you in advance by email.
This allows you time to review the change before your next renewal.
Making Changes to My Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account.
To cancel:
- Log in to your MyExpatTaxes account
- Go to the My Profile section
- Open your Subscription settings
- Select Cancel subscription
Refunds, if applicable, are handled in accordance with our refund policy.
